To choose the right router bit, consider the type of cut or edge profile you want to achieve (such as straight, round-over, or decorative).In my shop of have many quality profiles to choose from and my customers have the final choice of how their job will look. I keep both shank diameters for both 1/2 and 1/4 size routers and for the special materials I could be working on, safety first and best results second.
