The hook angle is how aggressive the cut will be. Positive hook angles (e.g., 10°, 15°) gives you a faster feed rates and are perfect for ripping and general woodwork, while negative or low hook angles (e.g., -5°, -2°) gives you greater control and smoother finishes, especially in miter or melamine cutting. The AGE SERIES provides blades like the MD210-360 (15°) for efficient crosscuts, and MD12-106 (-5°) for precise miter work. Having multiple hook angle options available helps so I can choose how aggressive the cut will be and finish of the projects.
