A miniature router bit is a bit that measures smaller at the cutter than its shank size. This is used for specific applications, such as creating small Chamfers , Corner radius etc. they usually have a bearing on the end to guide the bit . Other bit of this style are Flush trim bits used in template work.and have a guide bearing too. I have used both types in my shop and they perform great. Quality is the key to a great outcome.
