The shank diameter (SHK) affects both the stability of the bit and compatibility with your CNC router. The 1/2" shank, is standard in the RC-2483, RC-2485, and RC-4022, offers excellent rigidity, reducing vibration and improving cut quality, especially in demanding door making tasks. Some specialized bits, like those in the AMS-223 set, use 1/4" shanks for finer detail work. I have a selection of both shank sizes in my shop and ensures compatibility with different machines and the project / job requirements. In my shop quality is the key to getting a job done on time and to the customers satisfaction.
