In my shop carbide router bits typically last anywhere from several months to several years, depending on howt hey are used and the materials I'm cutting. With regular use on wood, they can last for hundreds of hours, but cutting harder materials can shorten their lifespan but job outcome is very important. Proper care, such as cleaning and sharpening, can help extend their life. In my shop if you misuse a tool or bit breaking it , well then you just bought that bit.
