I round over corners or sharp edges with a router, using a round-over bit with a radius of my choice. Always make sure you secure your workpiece with a clamp or bench vise . In my shop the round over bit have a bearing at the bottom to guide the router along the edge, you must keep the base flat and moving steadily forward for a smooth clean rounded edge. I always make test cuts on scrap wood of the same diameter and wood type to check your settings and to check what it will look like .
