When I make a frame-and-panel doors, I typically cut the rails and stiles to length first, starting with the stiles. The stiles are usually cut to the full height of the door, and then the rails are cut to fit between the stiles, taking into account the joinery.The panel is free floating in the door and no glue is used except the the top , middle and bottom jointery connections
